Here’s what to Expect.

This is an official EFT training; what we also call an EFT Externship. Dr. Sue Johnson, model originator and best selling author, endorses this Externship. Attending this Externship is the first step to being listed on the ICEEFT website, where clients go to find trained EFT therapists. It is also a step towards becoming a Certified EFT Therapist. St. Louis EFT Therapy Training Space is Limited, registration details are here.

In this Externship, you will learn how to:

  • See marital distress from an attachment perspective
  • Help partners reprocess the emotional responses that maintain relationship distress
  • Shape key new interaction and bonding events
  • Overcome therapeutic impasses

This four day training provides an in-depth overview of the EFT model. Didactic presentations, case examples, demonstration videos, small group exercises and discussions will provide participants with an engaging learning experience. Training occurs in a unique co-created learning community.  Role-play work facilitated by trainers and experienced EFT clinicians including Certified EFT Therapists and Supervisor(s).

Here’s what NOT to Expect.

What this Training isn’t:  Four days of dry power point presentations! This is not your ordinary training. This training weaves together didactic presentations, demonstration of the model through videos of the EFT masters, live session(s) of couples at the training itself, small group activities, role-plays and a vibrant community learning.

Professionals who attended last time said:

Transform the Way You Work with Couples, Families & Individuals.

Attachment Science provides the platform of this EBP intervention. And as an EBP, EFT has  substantial empirical validation. Arguable, EFT is the most extant, effective, empirically validated couples counseling out there.  EFT gives us a map of what goes wrong in intimate relationships and how to make them right. This Video offers a demonstration of some of the Attachment Science that defines EFT.

We expect this training to sell out again. Please consider registering early.
